Boy injured in crash at Tesco Salford precinct


A young cyclist has been injured after colliding with a taxi at Salford precinct at around 3.50pm today, Friday 7 August.

The boy, who is believed to 13, suffered leg, knee and head injuries in the crash near Tesco Extra on Pendleton Way.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, Greater Manchester Police said.

Police are still at the scene dealing with the aftermath of the crash and enquiries are ongoing.

The incident is being treated as an accident and no-one has been arrested.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
