Red Devils half-back Theo Fages will miss the next two games after picking up a two-match suspension for a Grade C dangerous contact offence at Castleford Tigers last weekend.
The young French International, who would have been set to make his 50th Super League appearance this Thursday against Widnes Vikings took an early guilty plea and accepted the punishment handed down from the RFL.
Head Coach Iestyn Harris said: “Theo is pretty gutted about the Grade C charge. He certainly hasn’t got a dirty bone in his body. He accepts the charge in full but it was more accidental than anything intentional. He doesn’t really have any memory of the incident.
“Theo is a great professional and he will just take it on the chin and get his head down in training until he gets his opportunity again. He is a young player with a terrific future in front of him and he will use this as a learning curve”.
