Firefighters are at the scene of a fifth-floor fire at a tower block in Salford.
Crews were called at 5.15pm tonight, Thursday 13 August, to Canon Hussey Court off Chapel Street, near Salford Cathedral.
A male occupant of the flat suffered from breathing difficulties after inhaling smoke from the blaze, which is understood to have started in his kitchen.
As of 5.45pm he is being treated at the scene and an ambulance crew are on the way as a precaution.
There are no other reports of injuries as a result of the fire.
