Man charged as police seize gun at Lower Broughton cannabis farm


A man has been charged with firearm offences after police raided a cannabis farm in Salford.

Michael Graham Jones, 55, has been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, production of cannabis and abstracting electricity.

He was remanded in custody to appear at court on Friday 27 March.

On Thursday 26 March, police seized 38 cannabis plants in a raid on a house on Moss Street in Lower Broughton.

A handgun revolver which was hidden down the sofa was also recovered.
