‘Gifted’ Salford student celebrates stunning GCSE results on 16th birthday


All Hallows RC Year 11 student Codie Wood celebrated her 16th birthday with an impressive set of GCSE results yesterday.

Maths whizz Codie leaves All Hallows with 9 A* grades, 2 A grades and an A Grade at AS Level Maths.

She will go onto study Maths and further Maths at Loreto College, with her sights set on studying Mathematics at a leading university.

Mr Grundy, Head of Maths at All Hallows said: “It has been a pleasure to teach someone with Codie’s enthusiasm and ability.

“She is a gifted mathematician who has a great future ahead of her.”

Mrs Cavanagh, Headteacher added: “We are extremely proud of all students in our class of 2015 who have worked hard to achieve the results they have, but exam results day was a special day for Codie who not only received the news of her A*-A successes in both her A Level and GCSE exams but also celebrated her 16th birthday.”

Codie also gets to celebrate the news of her classmates successes and is shown with her close friend Barakat Hussein who also achieved an impressive 10 A*-A Grades.

The school has a Good Ofsted rating and serves the communities of the inner city of Salford supported by the Diocese of Salford.
