Police cordoned off a section of Salford precinct after two men were stabbed.
One of the victims is believed to have been knifed in the back of the head.
Officers were called to Broadwalk, off Hankinson Way between Pendleton Gateway and Brotherton House, shortly before 5pm today, Wednesday 26 August.
Both men were taken to Salford Royal Hospital for treatment to their injuries.
Neither is thought to be in a life-threatening condition.
The scene was taped off and as of 7.20pm police were still at the scene making enquiries.
It appears to be an isolated incident, but officers are investigating the circumstances.
