Police arrested two men on suspicion of ABH after a man was assaulted at a takeaway in Eccles.
Officers were called to The Godfather on Liverpool Road in Patricroft at 10.30pm on Sunday 23 August to reports that a 40-year-old man had been attacked with an object, believed to be a metal chain.
He suffered a head injury and wounds to his mouth and nose.
He was taken to Salford Royal Hospital for treatment to his injuries.
It appears that the victim had an argument with a driver over a meal order delivered to his home, and allegedly went to the takeaway to remonstrate with staff.
A 36-year-old man, and a 22-year-old man, both workers at the takeaway, were arrested on suspicion of causing assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Both men have been bailed to reappear before police on Wednesday 23 September.
