Man, 22, charged after woman raped in Manchester


A man has been charged with rape after a woman was attacked near Piccadilly station in Manchester.

Bradley Baker, 22, of no fixed abode is due to appear before magistrates today, Thursday 3 September.

Sometime between 4am and 4.30am on Tuesday 1 September, a 39-year-old woman was raped between the footbridge from Piccadilly train station and Aytoun Street in Manchester city centre.

The woman alerted police and is currently being supported by specially trained officers.
