Man, 43, missing from home in Accrington


GMP are appealing for help to trace a man who has gone missing from home in Accrington.

Munir Alam, 43, was last seen at around 11am at his home address on Empress Street on Sunday 16 August. He told family members he was going out for a walk, but he failed to return home and has not made contact with them since.

He is described as Asian, around 5ft 10 tall, of a large build with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing traditional Asian dress, a black short length jacket and black shoes. He also has a tattoo on his left arm of a love heart with the letter ‘M’ inside.

He is known to have links to both the Rochdale and Bolton areas of Greater Manchester.

PC 4446 Laura Kendall of Blackburn Police said: “It has been more than two weeks now since Munir went missing and his family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned about his whereabouts.”
