United found themselves trailing 3-0 at half time and heads went down after Beechy conceded two more goals.
It was at least five minutes from the end before the Tornados managed a decent shot on target when Man of the Match Jeanny Le Blance hammered the ball home from outside the area and at the end of United’s next attack Cameron Wright set-up Jeanny Le Blance who scored again to make it 5-2.
Despite keeping the pressure on their opponents United were denied further goals and in the final seconds Chadderton Park scored a sixth goal against the run of play.
Tornados were in action against Adlington Dynamos who are current Section B leaders in the Bolton Bury and District Junior League.
On this occasion Beechy made an impressive start and could have taken the lead but the Adlington keeper saved Jeanny Le Blance’s penalty kick.
Minutes later Adlington went ahead though United soon equalised when George Leigh scrambled the ball into the net following a corner then both teams scored again with Lewis Vanden on target for the Tornados. In the second half there was another goal apiece for both teams and after Lewis Vanden netted his second goal of the game.
Adlington Dynamos then took a 5-3 lead.
Beechy dominated the final ten minutes and were rewarded with a fourth goal scored by Leighton White but despite all their efforts the Tornados just couldn’t find a deserved equaliser. Goalkeeper James Hamnett was Man of the Match.
After recovering from a slow start the Under 8’s Tornados turned on the style in the second half of their away game at Sale Communities Sharks. In this Bundesliga Cup Group A fixture goals for Beechy came courtesy of Jamie Withington and Man of the Match Matthew Corry.
Also involved in the Bundesliga Cup were United’s Under 8’s Lightning who met Winton JFC. On a 3G Astorturf Pitch the Beechy lads produced a first-class display and scored goals via Charlie Harris and Joshua Harris. Receiving the Man of the Match Award was Lucas Wood.
The Under 8’s Hurricanes were in action against Sale Communities Gladiators in a City of Salford Soccer League Development Match. Harley Mullen was voted the team’s Best Player while Oliver Coles and James Taylor scored goals for the Hurricanes.
In the Under 7’s Premiership Division Beechy Storm travelled to play Flixton Junior Dynamos. Following an highly entertaining match the teams shared eight goals. Oliver Percival and Joshua Kilfoyle got the goals for the Storm who’s Star Player was Oliver Cowley.
All other scheduled games in the Junior Section were postponed.
