No arrests after pedestrian hit by car near Buile Hill Park


A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured leg after being hit by a car in Salford.

It happened at around 9pm on Sunday evening near Buile Hill Park.

Concerned SalfordOnline.com readers reported the collision as ambulances arrived at the junction of Weaste Lane and Eccles Old Road.

Police closed the junction when they found a red Ford KA had collided with the 25-year-old, causing leg injuries.

The female driver, age 24, was also taken to Salford Royal Hospital as a precaution.

No arrests have been made and the incident is being treated as an accident.
