A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman was found in Higher Broughton, Salford.
The 36-year-old suspect is in custody for questioning.
Police were called to a property on St Helier’s Drive at 6pm on Sunday evening.
Crime Scene Investigators erected a cordon around the property and police are still at the scene.
Update: Three houses on St Helier’s Drive have now been cordoned off as police continue their investigation.
In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: “At about 6pm on Sunday 29 November 2015 police were called to a property on St Helier’s Drive in Salford.
“Officers attended and discovered the body of a 36-year-old woman. A scene is currently in place and officers are working to trace the next-of-kin.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
“A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.”
