Police, paramedics, mountain rescue and the fire service attended Blackleach Country Park tonight after a missing 86-year-old man’s car was located nearby.
Police received a call at 5pm to report the man missing.
Officers located his car near Blackleach Country Park at 6.30pm and because of the size of the area called the fire service and mountain rescue to assist with searching the park.
The man was found in a slightly confused state, but overall safe and well.
Greater Manchester Police, the fire service and mountain rescue have all been stood down from the incident.
