Police are looking for four white men in their 20s who fled from the scene of a crash in Lower Broughton on Sunday morning.
Huge amounts of debris were scattered across the street near Mocha Parade in Salford when a black Audi A4 mounted the pavement at high speed and trashed straight through a metal barrier.
The car spun back out into the middle of the road after smashing through several sets of street furniture.
The force of the impact destroyed fencing and uprooted a concrete bollard, spraying plastic and metal across the pavement.
Electricity power supply lines were also damaged in the crash.
Luckily there were no pedestrians walking at scene of the crash at the time, near Oasis Aquarium and the former Victoria Theatre.
Two police BMW X5s closed the A5066 Great Clowes Street in both directions at around 9.15am on Sunday 27 March.
Four men in dark clothing were seen running from the totalled car towards the Cambridge Industrial Estate.
Police are looking at where the Audi may have been stolen from and whether it has been used for any other criminal activity.
Anyone with any information or who saw which direction the Audi was coming from before the crash is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
