BMW driver wanted after four hurt in Salford M602 smash

Police are trying to trace the driver of a BMW after two children and two adults were hurt in a crash on the Salford M602.

At around 5pm on Saturday 25 July 2015, a white Seat was driving in lane three of the eastbound carriageway when a grey BMW drove onto the M602 from junction 12 of the M60 at Eccles.

The Seat driver was forced to swerve and collided with the central reservation.

Four people, including two 12-year-old children, received minor injuries.

Lanes two and three were closed while police cleared the scene of debris.

Police Constable Karl Roddie said: “From what we have been told, the BMW driver initially stopped on the hard shoulder for a short time before driving off.

“We are now keen to trace and speak to the driver of the car or anyone who may have witnessed what happened.”

Anyone with information should phone the Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 6173.
