M62 to close overnight for 10 weeks near Irlam


Roadworks will close junctions 10 and 11 of the westbound M62 for a full week of resurfacing works, say Highways England.

The transport authority say that work will needs to be carried out to resurface the carriageways between Junction 10 at the Croft interchange and Junction 11 at Birchwood.

The route will be closed between 10pm and 5am from Monday 10 August until Monday 19 September.

Diversions will be in place from Birchwood down to Junction 21A of the M6.

Delays are expected and drivers are advised to leave extra time for their journeys if travelling late in the evening or overnight.
