Police are hunting a man in his mid-20s after he attacked a betting shop worker in the street in Peel Green, Eccles.
At about 12 noon on Friday 9 October a man walked into Betfred on Liverpool Road in Peel Green and asked for some betting slips and then left.
Not long afterwards, the cashier left the shop and was walking on Liverpool Road when the same man ran up behind her and grabbed her bag.
A struggle between them ensued, but the handle snapped and the woman was thrown to the floor. The man fled down Hardy Street.

The man is described as white, 24-25-years-old, with short ginger hair, of skinny build, and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing long, blue shorts, a burgundy t-shirt, and maroon, white-tipped Adidas trainers.
Detective Constable Zoe Nightingale of Salford division said: “The man waited for the woman to leave the shop and targeted her when she was alone.
“The woman was thrown to the floor as she tried to hold on to her bag. Fortunately she was not hurt, but she has been left shaken.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw the man in the betting shop beforehand, or saw him in the area around the time of the robbery to get in touch. If you recognise the description of the man and may know who it is, I would urge you to call police.”
