Tonight at MediaCityUK in Salford a panel of experts will consider the biggest questions in science in front of a public audience.
Manchester Science Festival has taken a page out of the BBC’s book with its very own Question Time-style debate at the newly-opened University Technical College on Broadway.
On the table is everything from robotics to nanotechnology, from digital breakthroughs to manipulating DNA for healthier children, and the key issues science will have to face over the next 10 years.
Heading up the panel are Güneş Taylor, a stem cell researcher from Oxford University, Delphine Ryan, an aeronautical engineer at the Ministry of Defence, and Salford University’s Chair in Science Communication & Future Media, Professor Andy Miah.
You can put forward your own questions before the 6pm start by tweeting using the hashstag #MSF15SQT or by posting here.
Suitable for children over 12, this is a free event as part of the Manchester Science Festival.
