Walkden-based holiday operator Sports Tours International has announced a hike in sales to £9.2 million.
Profits also rose to £394,000 in the last trading year.
The niche operator sells cycling tours to Europe and activity holidays as well as organising mass participation events including the City of Salford 10k.
Earlier this month it acquired the assets of Leicester-based Freewheel Holidays, which will now trade from the Sports Tours International offices on Walkden Road.
Sports Tours’ CEO, Chris Bird, said of the acquisition: “We continue to develop our cycling offer through our core mass participation and challenge brand alongside our leisure business Wheel2Wheel Holidays.
“The addition of Freewheel Holidays will further strengthen our position as the operator of choice for all things cycling, no matter where you want to go and at what level you want to experience.“
Bird continued: “Having spent the last seven years developing our business into a multi active sport and leisure provider I am delighted both with our growth and future outlook.”
