Just one team from Beechfield United’s Junior Section were in action at the weekend after the recent heavy rain forced the postponement of all other games.
On Sunday morning the Under 15’s Predators were involved in the Sunday Challenge Cup and they booked their place in the semi-final’s following a 6-0 away win over Failsworth Dynamos White.
The Beechy lads quickly adapted to playing on an Astroturf Pitch and they held a healthy 3-0 lead at half time.
Maintaining their grip on the match the Predators continued to produce some quality football and were comfortable winners of this quarter-final tie. George Davies (2) Jamie Pollitt, Dylan Durose, Ethan Haynes and Mitchell McGivern scored the goals and Henry Bonynge was voted Man of the Match.
The other Beechy players involved in the game were Denford Dzvene, Brandon Kent, Joseph Lydiate, Kieron McCarthy, Anjola Onasanya and Damilola Sanusi.
The Predators who remain unbeaten continue to chase a trophy winning treble and are currently top of the JPC Sports Division in the Tameside Football League plus being guaranteed a place in the 3rd Round of the Manchester FA Youth Cup.
