A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being hit by a car outside Harrop Fold school in Walkden.
Police and ambulances were called to Hilton Lane at around 2.40pm on Monday 23 November to reports that a Year 8 child had been struck by a Citroen C4.
The North West Air Ambulance was scrambled to the scene at 2.45pm, initially landing near Bridgewater Street on the opposite side of Manchester Road East, but was later stood down.
The boy was said to be in a state of shock and received bruising to his ribs and legs.
His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, said Greater Manchester Police.
He was taken by road ambulance to Royal Bolton Hospital for further assessment.
No arrests were reported.
