A driver in his 30s suffered shoulder injuries when his car collided with lorry on the M60 this morning.
Police and ambulances were called at 11.20am to the clockwise carriageway of the motorway between Junction 15 at the M61 interchance and Junction 16 at Swinton.
Paramedics spend over 45 minutes treating the man at the roadside.
The North West Air Ambulance was scrambled to the scene, landing alongside the motorway near the Robin Hood pub, but was later stood down.
The man was taken by road ambulance to North Manchester General Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
All delays have now cleared, according to the North West Motorway Police.
