Manchester-based property firm Pinnacle Alliance has submitted plans for two new apartment blocks in Salford Quays.
The scheme on King William Street, dubbed ‘Discovery Quay’, includes 299 studio flats, a 24-hour reception, lounge and study areas as well as a games area, gym and cinema.
Prices the the self-contained studios start at £88,143 and are being specifically marketed both at investors and at the growing student population in Salford Quays.
Planners say the project illustrates Salford’s booming property market and a growing desire from large firms to invest in the area.
The proposal is expected to come before Salford City Council planners in March.
Andrew Dixon, managing director of Pinnacle Alliance said: “We’re excited to be offering such state of the art accommodation facilities to students and investors.
“The apartments will offer vibrant communal spaces and cutting-edge facilities, all within a safe and secure environment.
“We’re expecting that the units will attract a high level of interest from investors and those looking to benefit from Salford¹s booming property market.
Also in the plans are on-site car and cycle parking as well as communal gardens.
Works on the new development are scheduled to begin in November 2016.
Pinnacle said if the scheme is passed by Salford City Council work should be complete by August 2018 in time for students to start the 2018/19 academic year.
