Emergency services were called to Folly Lane in Swinton at 2.15pm today, Tuesday 26 January, after receiving reports of a road traffic accident.
A Renault Clio and a Citreon C3 had collided causing damage to both vehicles.
Both drivers and passengers were unharmed.
Folly Lane is temporarily blocked in both directions.
The road has been closed at the junction with the A572 Worsley Road, leading to the A580 East Lancs Road.
Drivers are being advised to use alternative routes.
Update: Folly Lane is now open with traffic flowing in both directions.
