Police in Swinton are asking people to be aware that cold callers are knocking on doors in the area asking if you need any roofing work doing.
They warn that an elderly male has this week been conned out of over £6k cash for housing repairs that have not happened.
The possible company name of Homeline or Trimline Roofing is being used by these bogus callers.
If approached call 101 and do not hand over any money
