AFC Monton hosted Walshaw FC for this fixture played on the AstroTurf surface at Albert Park Sports Complex, Salford, and after a match that see-sawed in favour of both teams eventually produced a share of the points.
The Ammies took the lead through Reece Hardy with a goal after fifteen minutes but their visitors levelled the score midway through the first half as both sides played some good attacking football but neither held any advantage.
The re-start saw Monton take the lead again as a perfect Lee Bancroft cross was expertly steered into the Walshaw net by Ben McNamara on the hour. Unfortunately for the Ammies two lapses in their defending cost them dearly as Walshaw once more equalised and then took the lead for the first time in the game with just fifteen minutes left to play.
Monton re-organised themselves and fought their way back into the game and with only five minutes left were rescued with a fine Calvin Morris header following another inch perfect Lee Bancroft delivery to give them a deserved point and keep them in fourth place in the League.
