Last night 853 residents in the Clifton/Pendlebury area of Salford experienced a power outage.
SalfordOnline.com had multiple reports of loss of power with the outage causing alarms in the area to go haywire.

Some customers reported that their power went off twice.

At around 12am on Thursday 18 February, Electricity North West (ENWL) scrambled a team of engineers to what is described as an ‘underground cable fault’.
Most customers’ electricity was back on within 15 minutes.
A spokesperson for Electricity North West said, “An underground cable fault caused the loss of power to 853 customers in Salford at around midnight last night.”
“Engineers quickly arrived onsite to repair the fault and restored power to 489 customers within 15 minutes and the remaining 364 customers at 1.12am.”
