Stephen McGorlay, 35, from Salford pleaded guilty at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Wednesday 17 February to theft by employee.
McGorlay was the duty manager at Morrison’s store in Eccles, he was arrested on 23rd December 2015 on suspicion of theft and a financial investigation showed he had stolen £17,000 from his employer.
McGorlay has been bailed by the magistrates to appear before Manchester Crown Court for sentencing on 16th March 2016.
