Roadworks update this weekend: Pendleton roundabout, Salford

The council has released the latest roadworks information for this weekend in Pendleton and Salford.

Today, Friday 19 February, the Manchester-bound A576 Pendleton Roundabout entry slip road is closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Maintenance work is ongoing to high-mast lighting columns.

Diversions will be signed via Hankinson Way, Churchill Way and Cross Lane.

On Saturday 20 February more lighting repairs mean two slip roads will be closed for the whole day: the A576 Pendleton roundabout joining the Liverpool-bound A6 Broad Street, and Broad Street at the off slip to Bolton Road, Irlam’s o’th Height.

On Sunday 21 February the A6 Broad Street exit slip to Pendleton roundabout, in the Liverpool direction, will be closed entirely for more lighting maintenance work.

Also on Sunday 21 February, temporary traffic signals will be put in place as council roadworkers close a 20-metre section of Langworthy Road in Salford.

Repair works will be carried out to replace manhole covers.

The closure is expected to last all day.

On Tuesday 23 February the Manchester-bound exit slip road of the A576 Pendleton roundabout will close between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

A signed diversion will be put in place, say Urban Vision. Works are expected to take around three to four hours.
