Woman stabbed up to eight times in Chorlton


A 30-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after being stabbed up to eight times.

The victim, who is understood to be from Salford, suffered stab wounds to her neck, abdomen and upper torso.

Police were called to Caldervale Avenue in Chorlton, Manchester, at 1.05pm on Friday 1 May.

She was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital for further treatment.

One woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is still in police custody for questioning.

Enquiries are ongoing.
