Watch: Morley draws Eagles for Swinton Lions – Challenge Cup Fourth Round

Swinton will face the difficult task of bringing down the Sheffield Eagles away from home in the Challenge Cup.

Head coach John Duffy saw was defiant despite seeing the Lions draw a Championship side who’ve faired significantly better than his own.

“If I listed all the teams in he draw they would be the one I’d not like to get,” he said.

“However, we gave them a good game on Friday night and we’ll give them another good game”.

Duffy is expecting a tough challenge in the March showdown but is confident his men can give good account of themselves.

The Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Fourth Round draw was overseen by Salford rugby legend Adrian Morley.

Last time they met Swinton fell foul of The Eagles in Sheffield when the hosts ran out 48-26 winners.

Sheffield are currently second in the Championship, and although it’s early days, could be an outside bet for promotion.

Swinton meanwhile find themslves second bottom after a difficult start to the season.

But Lions fans are hoping their side will turn relative giant-killers with the magic of the cup at stake.

Elsewhere, there are rumours of news breaking on Swinton’s new ground in Agecroft, with a final decision expected later this week.
