Salford City Academy invited local primary school pupils for an Easter Egg hunt on 23rd March 2016.
The young visitors and their families were escorted by academy prefects and student ambassadors in their search for clues around the building, with the successful egg hunters rewarded with chocolate eggs!
There were also a variety of Easter-themed arts and crafts, from hat-making to Easter cards, face-painting and refreshments.
The event, held for Salford City Academy’s feeder primary schools, also saw each visitor complete an Easter word search for a chance to enter a prize draw, with Barton Moss primary school pupil Christopher Candland, age 11, winning a giant chocolate Easter egg!
Commenting on the event, Christopher’s mum Roxanne Candland said: “We’ve had a great time at the academy, especially as Christopher won the raffle!”
Salford City Academy Principal Helen Mackenzie OBE said:
“It’s been another fantastic opportunity to welcome our feeder primary schools, along with parents, to the academy and take part in our egg-citing Easter Egg-stravaganza. It’s also wonderful for the children to be able to explore the school in such a fun way.”
