A 40-year-old biker has been seriously injured in an accident in Pendlebury.
Police and paramedics were called to Bolton Road at 8.58am this morning, Wednesday 4 May, to reports of a collision between a blue Ford Focus and a motorbike.
Bolton Road in currently closed Bolton-bound at the junction with Bridge Street.
As of 9.55am police are still directing traffic around the scene.
The 40-year-old man’s injuries are serious, police say, although at this stage not life-threatening.
He suffered a broken leg and a broken pelvis in the accident.
Once paramedics have completed their treatment the man will be taken to Salford Royal hospital.
Bolton Road is also due to be re-opened shortly, when the scene has been cleared.
No arrests have been made.
