Swedish multinational firm Ericsson has today announced it will strengthen its TV and media operations in the UK by establishing a new broadcast and media facility at MediaCityUK, Salford.
The 24-hour centre will deliver media management services for clients like the BBC and ITV.
Ericsson say their new Northern base will include playout suites, continuity and quality control areas, media management areas, master control facilities and a network operations centre.
The company is is one of the leading global providers of broadcast and media services.
It has worked with some of the world’s most well-known broadcasters, platforms and content producers including BBC, Channel 4, BT Sport, ITV, FOX, DreamWorks, Disney, Canal+, Sky, HBO, TV5 Monde and France 24.
The new Salford site is expected to open by April 2017.
