A man was taken to hospital after being found with a head injury on a street in Higher Broughton.
Police cordoned off Buile Street at around 9.15pm last night, Sunday 6 June, before starting door-to-door enquiries.
At this time the circumstances are not clear on how the man came about the head wound.
He was taken to hospital for treatment for a cut to the head and remains in hospital in a stable condition, police said.
