Niamh McKenna made MediaCityUK’s new head of PR & social media


MediaCityUK has appointed Niamh McKenna as its new PR and social media manager to raise the profile of the Salford Quays media and tech hub.

Plans were announced this week for phase two of MediaCityUK, which could see ten new buildings as the site doubles in size over the next 10 years.

Formerly of Manchester agency JAMpr, Niamh joins MediaCityUK with experience across trade and consumer PR accounts, delivering campaigns for clients including Argos for Business, my Travel Cash, The Printworks and EHL Ingredients.

Commenting on her new position, Niamh said: “MediaCityUK is an exciting challenge for me and I am looking forward to helping tell the stories of the people and companies that operate here.

“Social media is increasingly the way to do that and it goes hand in hand with PR, so I’ll be working closely with the diverse community at MediaCityUK to deliver clear, integrated campaigns.”
