Fire crews are on the M60 near the Trafford Centre dealing with a vehicle fire.
North West Fire Control received mulitple calls from passing drivers about the blaze, which broke out at around 11.30am today.
One of the cars on the transporter appears to have caught fire on the hard shoulder, near Junction 10 on the anticlockwise carriageway.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus are using jets and hoses to bring the fire under control.
As of 12.10pm the incident was still ongoing, Greater Manchester Fire said.
The Highways Agency North West are not showing any major delays around the scene of the accident.
