Boys and girls from Years 6 to 11 will have the chance to learn from Super League professionals and sports fanatics in a series of camps and masterclasses this summer.
Salford Red Devils Foundation is offering young people top rugby insights from world-class coaches, as well as multi-sport camps for those looking to get out and get active this summer.
For those who want to try out a number of different sports and games, boys and girls from Year 7 to Year 11 are being invited to the Moat Hall Sports Centre on Hallsworth Road in Eccles, home of Salford City Roosters.
Alongside rugby coaching sessions and games there are dance and arts award programmes.
The camps will also feature visits from members of the Salford Red Devils first team squad, as well as a visit and tour of the club’s home, the AJ Bell Stadium.
For the more hardcore rugby fans, Salford are preparing more of their ‘Embed the Pathway’ masterclasses for Year 6 to Year 11 boys.
These camps aim to put aspiring young rugby league players on the club’s radar as each player will be put through their paces in a wide variety of skill games, wrestling techniques and specialist fitness training.
Each camp will also feature the special bonus of position-specific tactics, training and skills delivered by the Salford Red Devils first team.
Foundation Health Manager Joanne Shepherd has been organising the camps, is and is looking forward to welcoming the participants: “These camps will provide an enjoyable, healthy and safe way for kids to spend their summer holidays.
“With the range of multi-sport activities we have to offer there is something for everyone, and we can’t wait to welcome people down.”

The camps will take place from 10am to 3pm on: Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 August (years 10 and 11); Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 August (years 8 and 9); Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 August (years 6 and 7).
The multi-sport holiday camps are priced at £15 a day or £30 for three days and run from Monday 8 to Wednesday 10 August; Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 August; Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 August.
