Gwent Police are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of Malachi Halstead.
A police spokesman said:
‘We are appealing for information to locate 34 year old Malachi Halstead from Newport who we would like to speak with following a serious assault on 13th August 2016.
He is known to have links to Birmingham, Manchester and across South Wales.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 96 13/08/16.’
