Prof Amanda Broderick leaves University of Salford Business School for Newcastle

The head of the University of Salford Business School, Professor Amanda Broderick, has left her post to take up a senior role with Newcastle University.

A former Deputy Dean of Durham Business School, Prof Broderick joined Salford University in October 2011, succeeding Prof John Wilson.

Professor Broderick will take up her post as CEO and Director of Newcastle’s London campus when it opens to students in September 2015.

A spokesperson for Salford University said: “Professor Broderick leaves Salford following four highly successful years leading the Business School and the University’s international portfolio.

“She has been responsible for sector-leading increases in student numbers, international research quality and student satisfaction; innovation in graduate employability; and enhancing the University’s international profile through new industrial and governmental partnerships – achievements that led to winning the Times Higher Education Business School of the Year in 2014.”
