Entertainment industry giant The Nederlander Organisation has handed a contract for two major London theatres to Salford-based ticketing agency Quaytickets.
The deal will see Quaytickets process around 60,000 tickets a year for the Aldwych and Dominion theatres in London’s West End.
The agency was established in 2005 at The Lowry Theatre on Salford Quays and sells more than 1.3m tickets a year for the likes of Manchester Pride, Nimax Theatres and Stockport Plaza.
It says six new part-time jobs at 20 hours a week will be created as a result of the contract win.
Rachel Miller, head of Quaytickets – which is a trading division of The Lowry, said: “The Aldwych and Dominion theatres are two of the best-known venues in London and we are proud to be associated with them. As we celebrate Quaytickets’ first decade in business, securing contracts with truly industry-leading organisations like Nederlander really is the icing on the cake.”
David Pearson, general manager of the Dominion Theatre, said: “Quaytickets impressed us with their experience, product knowledge and highest standards of customer service. They have a great reputation within the industry and we are delighted to be joining forces with them to ensure our customers have the best possible experience.”
