Police in Swinton are warning local residents to be on the alert after a distraction burglary took place at 6pm yesterday evening, Tuesday 14 July on Swinton Hall Road.
The male offender knocked on the victim’s door stating he had kicked his football into the victim’s back garden.
When the victim returns back into their house, they realised they had been burgled.
The male is described as 17 to 18 years old, 5ft 10 with a skinny build and short hair.
