A schoolgirl was approached by a man in Albert Park in Broughton, Salford.
After school on Friday 17 July, the girl was walking through the park when a man approached her and asked her name and where she lived.
The girl was left shaken by the incident but was unharmed.
St Boniface’s Primary School, on Yew Street in Lower Broughton, put out a text alert to parents: “Message from police via a parent, there has been a recent incident in Albert Park, please do not allow your child to go to the park unattended.”
Headteacher Julie Bainbridge told SalfordOnline.com: “It was just out of concern after this incident that we alerted parents to be more vigilant.”
Residents have also highlighted other unrelated incidents in the park of children being approached, which are being investigated by local officers.
