Biker suffers broken ribs and pelvis in Worsley crash


Police were called to Walkden Road in Worsley at around 8.40am this morning, Wednesday 22 July, after a motorcyclist collided with a van.

The crash was reported at the height of rush hour near the busy roundabout leading to the M60 at Junction 13.

A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance were scrambled to the scene alongside police.

The rider suffered a fractured pelvis and several broken ribs and was taken by ambulance to Salford Royal hospital.

The driver of the van was also taken to Salford Royal but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
