Quaytickets secures 20,000-ticket House of the Dead contract

Horror attraction firm House of the Dead Ltd have awarded the ticketing contract for their latest interactive experiences to Quaytickets.

The Salford Quays-based ticketing firm is a trading division of The Lowry.

‘Trapped Up North’ will see small groups of participants attempt to escape from one of three grisly ‘locked-in’ scenarios, while ‘House of the Dead’, will be an immersive walk-through experience recreating popular horror film scenes.

The number of tickets sold for the two experiences is expected to top 20,000.

Quaytickets will manage the sales for both events, which will take place in the Great Northern Warehouse on Deansgate in Manchester city centre.

Anthony Proctor, Marketing and Sales Executive at House of the Dead Ltd, said ‘We are thrilled to have secured the superior services of Quaytickets as our exclusive ticket agent for House of the Dead and Trapped Up North in Manchester.

“It is of utmost importance to us that our guests receive a first class service from the moment that they decide to book tickets to when they leave our event, after being scared out of their wits.”

Rachel Miller, director of Quaytickets, said: “Quaytickets has a lot of experience of facilitating pop-up events like this and we look forward to meeting those thrill-seekers up for the challenge.”

Earlier this month Quaytickets announced that six new jobs would be created in its Salford offices after winning a contract to handle ticket sales for the Aldwych and Dominion theatres in London’s West End.

The agency was established in 2005 at The Lowry Theatre on Salford Quays and sells more than 1.3m tickets a year.
