A man brandished a machete in a Salford shop.
Shortly after 4.15pm on Thursday 23 July 2015, two men arrived on Stamford Road in Lower Kersal, Salford on a scooter.
One of the men got off and walked round onto Littleton Road while the other man remained on the scooter and followed him round. The man on foot then went inside a shop on Littleton Road and produced a black bladed machete.
The member of staff who was in the shop immediately locked himself inside the office.
The offender hit the scratch card stand with the machete before leaving the shop. The man left on foot down Littleton Road and left onto Stamford Road when he joined the other man on the scooter.
Nothing was taken.
Detective Constable Paul Reynolds said: “We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and talk to police. This man did not appear to be acting alone and was in possession of a dangerous weapon.
“We have released CCTV stills in the hope they will jog someone’s memory or someone may know who they are, however, the man who remained on the scooter was not picked up clearly on the CCTV and the man with the machete has his face covered.”
Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 5351, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
