Man hospitalised in Lower Broughton smash

A driver was taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Lower Broughton last night.

Police and ambulances were called to the junction of Camp Street and Clowes Street at around 11pm on Monday 23 March to reports of a collision between a Toyota Avensis and a BMW.

One male driver was treated at the scene by paramedics for bruising and whiplash, before being taken to Salford Royal Hospital, but his condition is not thought to be serious.

The road was briefly closed while emergency crews dealt with the incident but re-opened shortly after.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
