FBT Manchester League Premier Division
AFC Monton 2 Manchester Gregorians 0
AFC Monton hosted Manchester Gregorians for this league fixture and eventually emerged with all three points after a largely uneventful eighty five minutes.
The first half was best forgotten as both sides locked horns in every section of the pitch and managed to produce few goal scoring chances and the second half started in the same vein but the introduction of the livewire Yankeu Nglieha on seventy five minutes suddenly saw the game spark into life.
A fast flowing move some ten minutes later and a strong run by Adam Tse saw the bustling centre forwards shot rebound off the foot of the visitors post and the quick thinking Yankeu swept the ball into the open net to give the Ammies the lead.
Two minutes later Yankeu and Tse linked up again and the resulting pass to Josh Rowlands saw him convert from close range to seal the result for Monton.
