Appeal for witnesses after biker, 20, left fighting for life in crash


Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which left a 20-year-old motorcyclist in hospital with serious head injuries.

At around 8.20pm on Thursday 20 August 2015, a Vauxhall Zafira was driving along Barton Road, Stretford, before turning right on to Addison Road.

As the vehicle turned on to Addison Road, it collided with a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Salford Royal Hospital, where he remains in a critical and potentially life-threatening condition.

The driver of the Zafira was uninjured.

Constable Paul Shore said: “This terrible incident has left a young man in the hospital fighting for his life.

“We are keen for anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact police as a matter of urgency, as it is vital we get a full account of what happened.”
