Baby ferrets missing in Irlams o’th Height

A mum is asking for help after three tiny baby ferrets escaped from her home in Salford.

The three females, known as jills, are just a few months old.

One is albino with white fur and red eyes, while the other two have brown fur with white-tipped noses.

Named Gem, Jet and Ice, they are thought to have taken off from the house on Duffield Road in Irlams o’th Height some time between 6pm on Monday 24 August and 8am on Tuesday 25 August.

Owner Kelly Williams, 38, has had ferrets ever since she was a young girl and is desperate to see them returned.

“I have been away and a friend was looking after them for me.

“When I got home this morning the bedding box door was open and there was no sign of them.”

There was no sign of a break-in so it’s thought the furry mammals got out accidentally.

Kelly said: “They’re used to being handled but will be hungry by now, so will nibble you if you put your hand out to them.

“My 11-year-old daughter will be devastated by this.

“I’ve even posted leaflets round to my neighbours but I’d appreciate any help we can get to get them home.

“I would be so thankful if anyone was able to find them all together and I would most probably cry,” she added.

Anyone who spots the ferrets wandering the streets can contact Kelly on 07749628055 or add her on Facebook.
